If you had not chosen your current profession, what profession would you choose and why?
I would have loved to be a professional musician. Music has been an important part of who I am since the fourth grade when I learned to play the flute. It was the first thing I found passion for, and I have stuck with it ever since. I also taught myself to play guitar, and I love to play and sing for friends at our campfires during the summer months.
What was a recent (or favorite) vacation you took?
I haven’t taken a proper vacation in several years because I was battling breast cancer. But I’m now in remission, and my significant other, Jim, and I are planning a trip to Florida at the end of April. During the first summer of the COVID pandemic, we bought a camper. We now have it parked permanently at a lakeside campground, where we spend most weekends from May through September each year.
What do you do when you want to relax?
I love a good campfire with friends, music, and wine!
Favorite book (or movie, band or pop culture item, etc.):
I love the Outlander book series by Diana Gabaldon, along with the television adaptation. As for music, I have a number of favorite bands. Right now, Led Zeppelin is back at the top of my playlist.
