To expand its partnership with current and prospective clients across New York state, RDG+Partners has added a payroll division to its Pittsford-based accounting firm. Payroll industry veteran Lauren Burns, CPA, FPC,CSP, has joined the firm to lead the new division, which offers a host of services including payroll processing, time and attendance, pay-as-you-go workers’ compensation insurance, human resources and employee benefits, and more.
RDGpayroll is the latest contributor to the firm’s growth, which over the past five years has also included a merger that brought expanded tax capabilities and a partnership to offer wealth management services. The firm has also continuously grown its team, which now includes six partners and 50 professional staff.
Burns brings more than 35 years of payroll experience to RDGpayroll, having twice developed and managed payroll firms that she grew to earn multi-millions in revenue before being acquired by USA Payroll in 1996 and ADP in 2013.
“With Lauren’s track record of success in payroll, we knew this was a tremendous opportunity to expand the depth and breadth of our services for the benefit of our clients,” said Chris Gamble, CPA, Managing Partner, RDG+Partners. “We now have the ability to offer all payroll, tax, and accounting services under one roof, saving our clients time and money while maintaining the individualized and innovative approach they have come to expect from RDG+Partners.”

Like the firm’s accounting and tax clients, payroll clients will have direct contact with their advisors, who will gain a complete understanding of their individual business goals and provide customized recommendations to meet those needs. RDGpayroll also utilizes proven payroll technology to ensure the highest level of service and accuracy.
Burns earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. John Fisher College. In 2011, she brought to Rochester the Moxie Exchange, a national women’s leadership organization that has since assisted more than 500 local women to grow both personally and professionally into better thought leaders, stronger businesswomen, and greater contributors to the community. Burns currently resides in Canandaigua.
