To support the firm’s steadfast growth, RDG+Partners has started construction at the site of its new offices at 10 Winthrop Street in Rochester. The project will more than double the accounting firm’s workspace, and is being developed in partnership with WDG and Streamline Real Estate Partners to help revitalize the building formerly occupied by Hart’s Local Grocers—which the new ownership has rebranded as “The Winthrop.”
The 18,000-square-foot retail space will be transformed with the addition of offices, a reception area, conference rooms, a kitchen, and flexible space for collaboration between staff and the firm’s clients. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2021, at which point RDG+Partners will move its operations—including 50 employees—to the East End from its current location in Pittsford.
Our team is dedicated to growth—of our clients’ businesses, their personal wealth, of our firm and the services we provide. Now, as we continue on that trajectory, it’s exciting to be part of growing this area of Rochester as well. We have looked for years for a location that suits our energizing, forward-thinking culture. Our partnership with these two experienced developers allowed us to create it here in the East End.
The deal between RDG+Partners, WDG, and Streamline Real Estate Partners gives the three firms ownership of the entire building located between Winthrop and Pitkin Streets. Much-needed improvements to the building and exterior common areas are underway, with additional office space soon to be available for lease.
“The recent investment in the East End has been impressive,” said Dennis Wilmot, President of WDG and Co-Owner of REDD, which is adjacent to The Winthrop. “This building offers many unique attributes, including its architecture and abundant surface parking, that not only made it ideal for RDG+Partners, but will prove to be a desirable option for other businesses looking for office space in the city of Rochester.”
“The combination of the growth in the East End and the availability of this one-of-a-kind property presented an incredible opportunity to partner with RDG+Partners and WDG on this project,” added Matt Lester, Managing Partner, Streamline Real Estate Partners. “We’re excited to build on the momentum in this area of the city and bring more jobs downtown. We couldn’t be more proud of this partnership.”
The opportunity comes at a good time for RDG+Partners, which over the last several years has grown significantly to offer a full suite of tax, business planning, accounting, and auditing services, as well as payroll, employee benefits, retirement, and wealth management services through Employee Retention Solutions (ERS). The firm serves clients across New York State, specializing in areas such as real estate, construction, professional services, and consulting.
For our clients, we strive to be more than their accounting, tax, or employee benefits professionals; we are their partners, and we’re invested in their success. With this expanded space, in this up-and-coming part of Rochester, we look forward to the ability to further enhance that collaboration with current and future clients.
