Solving the Service Gap: The 1RDG HR Solutions Promise

It’s been a minute, we have learned a lot.  The idea behind a true human resources partner is not often thought of as technology, payroll and benefits.  We have found out how to support both our small business clients and our enterprise clients.  Our gut feeling was real, the bridge between payroll companies is needed and improves from additional support.  Truly educating clients from a benefits perspective saves money for both the company and the employee.   For those of you who don’t know me, I am an accountant by trade with a consulting background.  I am a natural problem solver, I have always gravitated towards service, technology and data, even from the beginning of my career.

When we started the HR solutions division of 1RDG, there was a mission.  How do we solve the service problem with Payroll and Benefits? How do we remove the administrative piece of HR from the business owner, CFO, HR Director or Controller’s plate? How do we create a boutique service offering for Payroll and Benefits? How do we help our clients engage with their employees to begin to foster a CULTURE where there is communication, investment, transparency and retention? How do we share the information that we have with our clients so they can use it to make employee decisions?

I have been the consumer of Payroll and Benefits companies. Some experiences good and some not so great. They were very rarely integrated and never communicated to each other. There was A LOT of review needed for an accurate payroll. Our service was never GREAT. We had technology that was not set up properly and we never really knew how to use it.  We sat on hold A LOT.

When we decided to start the HR Solutions division of 1RDG, I welcomed the challenge. Our motto was and still is “More of the same is never an option. If you follow the crowd, then you will go no further than the crowd.”

Have you ever thought of Payroll as Technology? Most don’t. What do I mean by create the culture of 1RDG HR Solutions to be the Ritz Carlton boutique service of Payroll, Benefits and HR? It’s simple, SERVICE the heck out of it. Create process around payroll and benefits with service in mind.  Remove roadblocks from the payroll companies. Teach employees about insurance and how to best utilize their hard-earned money.  Always welcome feedback and FIX the problem when there is an issue.
