About John
John Rizzo is the Managing Partner and co-founder of 1RDG (formerly Rizzo & DiGiacco, CPAs, PLLC), which he established in 2005 alongside Brian DiGiacco. Under John’s leadership, the firm has evolved from a traditional accounting practice into a comprehensive financial services hub, culminating in its rebrand to 1RDG in 2024.
In his current role, John serves as a trusted client strategy advisor, helping businesses maximize value through growth planning, mergers and acquisitions, and family succession strategies. He brings extensive experience in financial consulting, particularly in the construction and real estate sectors. Over the years, John has guided hundreds of companies in securing millions of dollars in COVID-related stimulus funding, SBA disaster loans, and New York State training grants. John’s approach is grounded in hard work, dedication, and a deep commitment to treating every client’s business as if it were his own.
Certified as a CPA in 1998, John has been an active member of Entrepreneurs’ Organization for over 13 years. He has also served on the board and finance committee of the Boys and Girls Club of Rochester. His professional affiliations include the AICPA, New York State Society of CPAs, NAIOP, and CEO Renegades. Outside of work, John is proud to serve as a football coach at a local high school in Rochester.
